Where do you source your steak?

We work with trusted British suppliers, buying for quality and consistency rather than chasing one name or one region.

We collect direct from Smithfield Meat Market, and every order is then prepared at our fourth-generation family butchers.

That gives us closer control over quality, consistency and cut from sourcing through to delivery.

Why don’t you stock every cut?

We focus on the cuts people want to eat.Keeping the range tighter allows us to be more selective with our suppliers, maintain better consistency, and prepare, pack and deliver every order more efficiently.

Less complexity. Less compromise. Better steak.

Are your steaks frozen?

Never.

Dry-aged for deeper flavour and better tenderness, cut to order, and delivered fresh.

How do you pack your steaks?

We use premium pouches that protect the steak, preserve freshness, and travel better than traditional tray packs.

They take up less space, can be recycled at larger supermarkets, and help keep everything cleaner and more efficient from packing to delivery.

Each steak is cut to order, packed the same day, and delivered fresh.

How should I store my steak when it arrives?

Your steak should be refrigerated as soon as it arrives. Keep it in its sealed pouch and store it in the coldest part of the fridge, ideally below 5°C.If you’re planning to enjoy it within the next couple of days, keep it chilled.

If not, you can freeze it on the day it arrives.

Can I freeze my steak?

Yes. We deliver our steaks fresh, but you can freeze them at home once they arrive.

For best quality, freeze on the day of delivery and defrost fully in the fridge before cooking.

How long will my steak stay fresh?

Because our steaks are collected, cut and packed to order, they arrive exceptionally fresh. As a guide, we recommend enjoying them within 2–3 days of delivery if kept refrigerated in their sealed pouch.

If you’re not planning to cook them within that window, freeze them on the day they arrive.

What is the order cut-off?

Orders must be placed by 4pm, Monday to Friday for next-day delivery.

Any orders placed after 4pm on Friday through to 4pm on Monday will be delivered on Tuesday.

When will my order be delivered?

Place your order by 12pm, Monday to Friday, and we’ll deliver it the following day, Tuesday to Saturday, across London and the surrounding counties.

Do you deliver on Sundays or Mondays?

No, we deliver Tuesday to Saturday only.

The meat market is not open on Sundays, and all of our steak is collected, cut and delivered to order.

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver throughout London, Greater London and the surrounding commuter belt.

That includes London proper (E, EC, N, NW, SE, SW, W, WC), areas just inside and around Greater London (RM, BR, CR, KT, SM, TW, DA), and a wider selection of nearby postcode areas including AL, SG, WD, CM, CO, SS, ME, TN, GU, RH, HP, MK, SL and RG.

What if I’m not in when my order arrives?

If no one is available to receive the order, the courier will follow their standard delivery process.

Because your steak is delivered fresh, we recommend being available to accept and refrigerate it as soon as possible.

Do you offer catering or events?

Yes, through STEAK KNIGHT LIVE. We cater for 8 guests or more, offering steak night experiences for everything from private dinner parties to BBQs and special events.

We bring the meat, and our Michelin-trained chef friends bring the heat.
